There is a change to the published programme, here is a message from Colin Howes explaining why and giving details of the meeting:

‘Due to the extraordinarily rich display of fungi around the Ancient Oaks and particularly on the southern Meadow at Lindholme Hall, we have decided to re organise the Nats Programme to quickly hold a fungus foray to monitor this spectacle while the show lasts. At the invitation of the Site manager, David Benjamin, the Doncaster Nats Fungus Foray will be held at Lindholme Hall on the afternoon of Saturday 23rd October, meeting in the Hall Car Park at 01.30pm (Leaders Nora Boyle & Colin Howes). Although as yet unconfirmed, we hope to have the services of an expert local mycologist.
Bring a camera since everything at Lindholme is extraordinary and worth recording.

Access to Lindholme by Car – Directions from M18/M180 Junction:
Leave the M18 at Junction 5 and take the M180. Leave the M180 at the first exit, Junction 1, onto the A614 and follow the signs for Hatfield Woodhouse. Once in Hatfield Woodhouse take the first turn left into Remple Lane. Bear left into Hollingbridge Road. After ~400 metres (~1/4 mile), the paved road takes a 90 degree right-hand bend and after another 200 metres (220 yards) the road takes a 90 degree left-hand bend. After this bend turn right and cross the metal bridge onto Turf Moor Road.

Follow the road until eventually, after ~1.5 km (~1 mile), the road makes a left-hand turn into Lindholme Bank Road (you will see the Natural England car park and picnic spots here). Follow this road for ~1.5 km (~1 mile) and you will reach two semi-detached cottages on your left. (Satnav systems may think you have arrived by now!) Pass the cottages and continue down the road for ~400 metres (~1/4 mile) until you come to Lindholme Hall.

Since visitors to the Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Buddhist Centre will be in residence at the Hall and the various associated outbuildings we are requested to keep a respectful distance from these properties’.
Best Wishes
