Doncaster Nats meeting by special invitation to
A Fungal Foray at Hemsworth Alms Houses on Sunday 7th November 10am
The Alms houses are the homes of retired people with connection to the Church of England. The extensive lawns between the buildings have only ever been cut, with no other intervention, for about 160 years. An extraordinary array of fungi grow here. Francis Hickenbottom has privileged access as a relative of his is a resident.
He will lead us to see the fungi, you will have to watch where you put your feet!
Toilets and hot drinks will be available (I think donations will be in order for that) in the meeting room of the community. Bring your lunch if you wish to stay for the afternoon.
Francis will bring a couple of microscopes and will demonstrate how he takes photos by photo stacking.
How to get there:

Turn off on the A638 to Wakefield.
