What to do whilst in Isolation – Members Projects

Category : Doncaster Nats

In these difficult times when one is isolated but still interested in getting out in your garden or in the locality and observing nature, we propose this new section as a means of sharing your local studies/observations with the Nats membership.

Give your local project a name so that it can be added under this heading, and send contributions whenever you have something of interest to share. These can be a description, a sighting and/or photographs that will then be added under your own project heading.

Latest News regarding the Coronavirus – All Meetings Postponed

Category : Doncaster Nats , News

Following the government’s advice about social distancing for 12 weeks it has been decided to cancel all NATS outings until the end of May. The situation will be reviewed at the end of May whether to cancel the June meetings as well.

Keep well everybody.

Latest News regarding the Coronavirus – Meetings Postponed

Category : Doncaster Nats

The consensus of opinion and that of the committee is that the last two NATS indoor meetings should be postponed until a later date. Sorry for the inconvenience caused but it seems to be the best and most prudent course of action. So the talks affected are ‘Lost and Found’ on Wednesday the 18th March and ‘Woodland Management’ on April 1st. These will now take place later in the year at dates to be decided.

If there is any change to the summer programme outdoor meetings I will let you know.

Notice of Next Meeting – Wednesday, 18th March 2020

Category : Doncaster Nats

The next meeting is this coming Wednesday evening March 18th at Parklands Club, meeting at 7.15. The subject is ‘Lost and Found-the Sundew Plume’ by Helen Kirk. The Sundew Plume is a rare moth that is found at Shirley Pool near Askern.

Important – please let me me know if you intend to come, as many public meetings are being postponed until after the Covid-19 epidemic has passed we were wondering if the next two meetings should be postponed/cancelled.

Helen is willing to come along but asked us to ascertain if the meeting would be viable. We think an attendance of 8-10 members would be sufficient. So let me know if you are intending to come, by Monday please, or if you have any comments about this. Helen would be happy to return at a later date so we won’t miss out.
