We are aware of plans for a housing development next to Dodge Dyke Pond and Shaw Wood.

These are well-known local wildlife sites which support an abundance of wildlife including amphibians, bats, plants and bird life.

A local Action Group has been set up with its own facebook page at

Thank you Louise for mentioning our campaign and Facebook page.  There is also a website providing general information and updates http://www.dodgedyke.org

Our aim is to demonstrate that the wildlife areas which may be affected are valued by the community and also to illustrate just how important the ponds and wood are.  We would therefore be really pleased to receive information, photos, suggestions, advice etc.  Anyone can contact through the website.
